Condolences to the Stemmons family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.
Ms. Velma has left a lasting memory in my mind. Even with her small stature and quiet demeanor you knew she meant business. Tina and I were good friends and just being around her allowed me to witness the love, support, and family value of doing the right thing in spite of all the temptations for us young ladies. Sometimes it doesn't take a lot of words to express how we feel. A quiet nod. A quick smile. A hum. A wink. All these things I consciously do to show others what I am thinking and feeling about them. Thank you Ms. Velma for being that role model on an impressionable teenager.
Family my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We know that God is the only one who can give us peace that this world does not understand and comfort exactly when we need it.
Bless you and love you,
Dana Carter
I grew up enjoying the good times on the farm with my grandparents. My grandmother loved to cook and always kept us laughing. She loved to visit her friends and attend the towns events. I loved my grandmother and grandfather very much and she will be truly missed. Grandmother may you RIP!
