Shirley Moten's Obituary
Shirley Moten, 70, of Marshall, MO., passed into eternity on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Mar Saline Manor. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM Saturday at the North St. United Methodist Church in Marshall. Graveside services will be held at 2:15 Saturday at the Fairview Cemetery in Marshall.
Shirley Moten was born on July 6, 1946 to Elzie and Ethel Bell Napier in Marshall, Missouri. She was a lifelong resident of Marshall, Missouri and graduated from Marshall High School in 1964. She married Samuel Moten on September 28, 1965.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Samuel Moten of the home, son Kirk Moten of Blue Springs, Missouri, grandchildren Clayton Moten of Blue Springs, Missouri and Kiara Moten of Lenexa, Kansas and one great-grandchild Nolan Whitney of Lenexa, Kansas. She also leaves behind two sisters Thelma Johnson of Gardena, California and Mary Brown of Marshall, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth N. Butler and brother Elzie Napier.
