Michael Roseman's Obituary
Michael Roseman, 40 of Columbia answered the call of The Lord on Thursday March 14, 2013 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Oakland Junior High School in Columbia. Visitation will be from 11:30-12:30 Saturday at Oakland Junior High School, 3405 Oakland Place in Columbia.
Michael Roseman was born on July 1, 1972 in Columbia, Mo. the son of Charles Brown and Phyllis D. Roseman. He was employed by the Columbia Public Schools for many years. He attended Washington Elementary and Smith-Cotton High School from which he graduated in 1990. After high school he attended a Trade school in Columbia, MO.
Michael has many, many friends who often called him “Money Mike”, of “Icy Mike”. He is the Kansas City Chiefs number ONE fan. Basketball was also a favorite of Mike’s, but nothing mattered more than those Chiefs. Mike was very dedicated to his sons and his grandson. He was a very good father and grandfather. After long days at work or just home on the weekends you could find him listening to his old school jams in his garage with the grill rolling. Mike was a very happy soul and always was there to helo when anyone needed that shoulder. Mike nver knew a stranger.
Preceding him in death were two sets of grandparents and three uncles.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Phyliss Hawthorne, stepfather Bill Hawthorne both of Columbia, his father Charles Brown and stepmother Carol Brown of Sedalia, Mo., three sons Christopher Roseman of Wichita, KS., Kyree Staten of Kansas City, Mo., and KeShawn Roseman of Columbia, Mo., two sisters Paulla Brown of Houston, Tx., and Imogene(Andi) Brown of Sedalia, Mo., One grandson Princeton Nelson Michael Roseman, six aunts, Lucille Green of Columbia, Connie Ramsey(Nathaniel ) of Alyett, Va., Kathleen Hoskins of Kansas City, Mo., Darlene Pollard(Richard) of Independence, Mo., Willa Carter(Tyrone) of Lees Summit, Mo, and Charlene Owens(Robert) of Atlanta, Ga., three uncles David Roseman(Jada) of California, Ronald Boggess9Faye) of Kansas City, Ks. and Wilbur Brown(Crystal) of Wichita, Ks., and his grandmother Maizie Campbell of Independence, Mo., and a host of cousins and a special cousin since he had no brothers he let everyone know that his cousin Bryan was his brother. Many friends that would fill pages and pages just to let you know that he alwasys wanted you to know that you are not forgotten.
