Marquita Wright Adams' Obituary
Marquita D. Wright Adams, 58, of Milwaukee, WI, formerly of Boonville, MO, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, in Milwaukee. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Morgan Street Baptist Church in Boonville. Repast will follow service in the fellowship hall. There will be no visitation. Marquita known to others as Quita was born August 28th, 1967, at St. Joseph Hospital in Boonville Mo. The daughter of Charles Wright Jr and Eunice Wright she graduated from Boonville High school and went on to graduate from Central Texas College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Marquita worked for Headstart for many years both in Boonville and St Robert Mo, her passion was to teach young children, and it showed through her work.
In her spare time Marquita loved to spend time with her daughters and her friends, travelling to visit Minnesota and Tennessee and playing her favorite games on her computer and watching WWE. She also had a knack for making miniature furniture for dollhouses and also decorating them.
Marquita is survived by her Husband Joseph A. Adams of St. Robert Mo; Daughters Natasha Wright of Minneapolis MN and Tea-Na Careathers (Quintina) of Murfreesboro TN; Mother Eunice Wright of Boonville Mo, brothers Brian Wright (Debra) and Charles Wright II both of Boonville Mo; Special sister Peggy Kammerich of Pilot Grove Mo; Granddaughter Patricia Careathers of Yokosuka Japan; Great Grandson Cordell Careathers of Yokosuka Japan; and a host of aunts, uncles and family.
She was preceded in death by her Father Charles Wright Jr; Grandparents Helen and Charles Wright Sr and Jerneal Cowans and Frank Jackson and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
