Margaret C. Banty's Obituary
Margaret C. Banty, 81, of Marshall surrendered her soul to Jesus on Friday, October 8,2010 at the Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 14, 2010 at North St. United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30- 8:00 PM Wednesday at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall.
Margaret was born June 26, 1929 in Napton, Mo., the daughter of Ollie Banty and Lula Ella Tindall. She was a member of the North St. United Methodist Church for many years. She was chairperson of the History Committee, on the Pastor Parish Relation Committee, and a Lay Delegate to Annual Conference. She also worked with the youth.
She was retired from the International Shoe Company and Con-Agra.
“Aunt Margaret” as she was known leaves to cherish her memory, Nieces Geraldyne Williams, Ena Banty, Paula Banty, Nephews, Thomas R. Bynum, Sherman R. Bynum, Randii Bynumand Leonard Crump, great nieces and nephews of Marshall, Mo., Candice Banty, Keith Banty, Angel Banty, Karl Banty, and Jade Banty, other nieces and nephews who are too numerous to mention. Two very special great nephews Khody and Kalvin Stewart, one sister-in-law Eva Banty of Marshall, Mo., and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother William Banty, her sisters Gertrude Williams, Lula Banty and Helen Monroe.
