I am sorry this is so late but I just now became aware of Major Warrick’s death. Please accept my most sincere condolences in the loss of your father.
I was his student in ROTC at Joliet Central High School in 1974-1976. He was a wonderful instructor and mentor, and I was devastated when he left mid-year during my senior year, to go to Fisk University.
His memory is a bright spot from my high school days.
I wish the peace and comfort of the Lord on you and your entire family.

Dearest Luke was one of the most outstanding retired military man I had ever met. He and Ollie Jackson were like “two peas in a pod” and their friendship unending! I worked with Luke for the entire time he was working at the Engineer School. He was a special friend to me all the years we’d worked together. Since my retirement in Sept 2003 I’d kept up with him, saw him numerous times in town as well at the eating joints. God speed to this wonderful dear friend, you will no longer have any pain and a life with your wife and our “Creator”. Love you Luke now you are in “Gods Hands”. You’ll definitely be missed!!!!

We called him “Uncle Lucius” after meeting him for the first time at Wayne & Mary Bushes house at a Super Bowl party years ago. What gentle soul with such an “Infectous Personality” (in a good & Godly way) his Nephew Phillip Warrick and I grew up together and have been life long friends to this day! R.I.P UNCLE LUCIUS!!!

What a wonderful man, friend and uncle who will dearly be missed.
I want to say to my Warrick, Bush, Crum, and Brown family… weeping my endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.

Audrey, Marceda, and Doris, Lucius was larger than life, having had such a positive impact on the lives of so many people through his generosity. My late brother Alvin, and I, were among the recipients of his blessings. The jobs he obtained for us at the Governor Hotel in the 1950s made it possible for us to complete our education at Lincoln University.
May God bless his soul, and give each of you the strength to endure the earthly loss of your loved one.
