Hazel Jones, 97, of Columbia slept into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, Ocotber 27, 2010 at The Bluffs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Clyde Ruffin Read Obituary

To Ms. Hazel Jones Family, I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your loved one. That is wonderful that Ms. Jones had a long life 97 yrs young (smiles) By her being a bible reader, she was familiar with the Our Father prayer that Jesus taught his followers to pray for. Matt 6:9,10 “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be santified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.” When we pray that prayer, we are
praying for Jehovah by means of his son Christ Jesus to do away with sickness, growing old, and dying. All of these things will be a thing of the past. Rev. 21:4 says this, “And he (Jehovah God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes (mankind), and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Dear Jones Family,
You have our deepest and most sincere sympathy during this time. Mrs. Jones was my friend. We both shared notes on raising two sons. She was an inspiration to us. I know that her spirit is in the hands of God. May God’s peace be with you.

To The Jones Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Jones, passing. She hold’s a special place in my heart. She was my “Prayer Partner” in Bible Study, years back at Second Baptist Church. We lost contact after I moved away, but I would always looked for her whenever I came home to visit at SBC. She is now resting in the arms of God, and her journey has come to an end. I will miss you…Rest in Peace Mrs. Jones.

Dear cousin Hazel
I will miss your bright smile and warm embrace each time I would see you.
I remember all the times I would see you and Aunt Hart at Second Bapt Church when I attended MU. You both would greet me and be so happy to see me.
Thank you for being part of my extended family in Columbia.
The Bible tells us “absent from the body, is present with the Lord,” and I know you are now at peace with God.
I will never forget you.

May Jehovah God strenghten and keep you during this time. Acts 24:15 states that “I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
Ms. Jones, lived to be 97 yrs young, that is wonderful. Ps. 90:10
“In themselves the days of our years are seventy years. And if because of special mightiness they are eighty years, Yet their insistence is on trouble and hurtful things; For it must quickly pass by, and away we fly.”
