With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Candice Elaine Stuart, 57, of Fulton, Missouri. Candice left this world on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Caring Hearts and Hands Hospice House in Columbia, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 17, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, Candice was the beloved daughter of Roy and Patsy Thompson. From a young age, she had a zest for life that never faded. As a high school cheerleading captain, she radiated energy and enthusiasm—qualities that stayed with her throughout her life.
Candice was a free spirit who loved riding motorcycles, dancing to her favorite songs, and being the heart of every gathering. She had a natural ability to bring joy and laughter wherever she went, and she treasured every moment spent with her family. Above all, she was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren, always celebrating their achievements and showering them with love.
Candice was also a passionate advocate for cancer awareness and was a proud member of Relay for Life, dedicating her time to supporting those affected by the disease. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit will never be forgotten.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Brian Stuart, and six children who were the light of her life: Steven Stuart (Emily) of Mexico, MO, Dustin Stuart (Christen) of Centralia, MO, Brandon Hays (Catrina) of Fulton, MO, Joe Stuart (Ericka) of Mokane, MO, Dustin Hays of Fulton, MO, and Taylor Holt of Auxvasse, MO. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Peggy Moore of Auxvasse, MO, and her eleven adored grandchildren: Briaunna, Carly, Riley, Laira, Easton, Blaine, Atleigh, Cordyn, Wrenli, Annaliese, and Trynity.
Candice was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Bruce Stuart.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her vibrant spirit will live on in the stories, laughter, and love she shared with those around her.
A celebration of Candice’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 3686 State Road E, Auxvasse, MO 65231. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. A dinner will be held immediately after to gather in remembrance and share cherished memories.
