Maria, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hold on to God's unchanging hands.
I met Rev. Dawson, “Clanton” at Family Counseling center where we both were employed back in the 80s. We became good friends. I always admired him and his quest for knowledge. He will be sorely missed in this community. My condolences to the family. Rest well, my friend.
I’m so sorry to hear the passing of Rev. Dawson.
I have such fond memories of his preaching.
I remember how he would read the scriptures for his text. After which he would say: I’m not going to hold you long. I’m going to lift up 3- things and get you out of here.
Rev. Dawson was definitely a warrior for the Lord.
I pray the Holy Spirit will cover his Dear wife Maria and family during this difficult time.
I teach at MACC along with Dr. Dawson. I didn't know him very well, but the way he instantly connected, you knew that he is a very special person. I saw him speak on Color at Columbia College this past year. He knows, cares, and shares so much. We all learned that day something about ourselves and our community, hopefully for the better. We all should be grateful that we knew him at least on some level.
