Billie Mae was my mentor when I started working at McGraw's. I was young and dumb and was out of my comfort zone, but the ladies on the oven line took me under their wings and boy did I get an education! I learned to work and cope with raising a family. I had a work family now. Billie and I had lots of serious talks and lots of jokes and laughs too. I would have never made it if not for people like her and I hope I was of some help to her too. She was honest and a true friend. Years past and I didn't see her often, but I'd always look for her and Ada at Wal-Mart. When we got together it was fun catching up. I know she was tired and it was her time. Her family will miss her I know. Cherish your memories. BILLIE WAS ONE OF A KIND. I am proud to call her my friend. CONNIE KEMPF
