Barbara Jefferson, 70, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her home. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Fifth Street Christian Church at 11:00 AM. Barbara Jefferson was born October 11, 1952, in Columbia, MO, the daughter of John and Geraldine Jefferson. Barbara was a registered nurse who traveled many places helping her patients including California, Texas as well as Kansas City, MO. She had a degree in social work. Barbara had an outgoing personality, and she loved her family. She was on the board of housing community development.
She leaves to cherish her memory one brother Henri Jefferson of Columbia, MO, two nieces Cynthia Jefferson and Pat Jefferson both of Columbia, MO, two nephews Kevin Jefferson of Lagrange, GA, and Edwyn Stapleton of Columbia, MO, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Geraldine and John Jefferson Sr., and two brothers Charles Jefferson and John Jefferson Jr.,her sister Elaine Stapleton, her sister-in-law Jeanette Jefferson and a special friend William.
