The H.T. May & Sons Funeral Home - Alexander-May Funeral Home difference

“I was the first of five to marry into the family of Vernon and Barbara Gross Zeller as I married their oldest daughter, Barbie in 1980. They died 14 months apart and wanted a dual service. They were special people and deserved a special send off. Additionally, I have know Tommy May through all those years as well. As a professional event planner, you can imagine my sense of relief when years ago, my in-laws pre-arranged with Tommy for their eventual cremation and farewell service to be held in the Catholic Church. I knew it would be Five Star…and it was. In the three weeks between death and interment, Tommy’s staff were “on call” for the family, non-stop. The day of the service: August 24, 2025, they provided the most beautiful “ark” in which the two urns could be carried from church to the cemetery…thus allowing Grandsons to have a part as Pall Bearers vs just one of the staff carrying the urn(s). Additionally, at the luncheon there was a Tribute Video and Tommy’s crew handled all the logistics. Even at the grave, in SS. Peter& Paul Catholic cemetery there were last minute adjustments requested and the H.T. May funeral staff handled it with grace. The “extra’s” they did are innumerable. As a business owner myself, I admire and appreciate unbelievable customer service where every request is met with “If it’s possible to happen, we will make that happen.” My thanks to Tommy and all the May family and staff. My parents-in-law would be well pleased. Michael J. Nolte”

“Tom, Thank you so much for being there for our family when our mom, Mary F. Brown passed. You were a wealth of knowledge for helping with administrative details. You are perfect for this job, especially during a time when we are mourning and not thinking clearly. Your patience is your gift. During this time there are so many questions and uncertainty, but you were always a calming voice. Thank you again. The Brown Family”

“With the sudden death of our mother, May funeral home provided immediate and loving care in taking care of our request. Prompt attention to even the simplest request were handled in a very professional manner. When HT May was asked to intervene with family differences, he stepped in and resolved the issue while being very polite, professional and understanding. All measures were taken to show love and understanding. The son handled all paperwork and submitted everything in a timely manner. After meeting with the staff, and after leaving, I told my wife that our mother was in good hands. Communication lines were kept open until the final details was complete and satisfied. When a question was asked, I also got a precise answer that did not leave me guessing or wondering. The services provided by H T May are very caring, and I highly recommend meeting with them. This review is to thank them for their thoughtfulness and kindness. The hand shake and follow up phone call meant a lot. So, Thank You!”
