William Griggs' Obituary
William Griggs,82, of Sedalia entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Rest Haven Retirement Center. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Alexander-May Funeral Home in Sedalia.
Mr. Griggs was born May 23, 1932 in Philadelphia P.A. He is a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force Mr. Griggs went to work for the fire department at WhitemanAir Force Base. He was a member of the local Centennial Lodge #59 Mason. Known affectionately as “Griggs” by friends and family, he loved playing cards and sitting under the shade tree with the fellows swapping “stories”.
He leaves to mourn his passing 2 step- daughters, Sharon Jackson and Vickey (Marvin) Spruell , 3 grandchildren, Rickey Garvel (Mandy)Christian, Travis Dewayne Christian, and Wynter Rachelle (Jeff) Geiler all of Sedalia, MO. 7 great grandchildren, and 2 very special step nephews Allen and Tyrone Carter.
He is preceded in death by his beloved Georgia L. Jackson.
