William Baker's Obituary
Wm. "Dale" Baker 80 of Columbia, MO passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 following a battle with dementia.
Dale was born January 12, 1938 in Columbia, MO the son of William Oscar and Mattie (Terry) Baker.
He married Lona F. Bledsoe-Baker at Rocheport United Methodist Church October 6, 1956.
At his request there will be no services. Dale celebrated his life enthusiastically and to the fullest while living. There will be a gathering to share these memories with family and friends at his home Saturday, January 27, 2017 1:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m.
Dale was a software engineer and musician. His bands "Scat Kitzs" and "Three of a Kind" were Pioneers of Rock & Roll in this area. He loved playing music with his bands, family and friends. He was a lover of music, dancing (and loved showing off his dancing), traveling and outdoor activities. He had a big colorful personality and a love of laughter.
Dale is survived by his wife and soul mate Lona F. Bledsoe-Baker, 2 sons: Byron K. Baker, Chris A. Baker both of Columbia, MO. 2 daughters: Cynthia "Cindy" L. Baker of Auxvasse, MO, Julie K. Coad of Medina, OH. 6 grandchildren: Isaac D. Baker, Chelsea R. Coad, Jessica N. Coad, Rachel J. Coad, Erica R. McKim, Theresa Menditto. 7 great grandchildren: Jayden W. Horner, Kileigh L. Horner, Ender Speiser, Dayne Speiser, Rylan Speiser, Wyatt Speiser, Layla E. Wilson.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Patrick William Horner, granddaughter Addeline Claire Baker, brother Al F. Baker, sister Norma Dean Mitchell.
