Twilla R Cross' Obituary
Twilla Renae Cross, 62, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Twilla was born on July 20, 1962, in Columbia, MO, to Goldie Lawson. A dedicated lifelong learner, she earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business and Science from William Woods College. For the past 10 years, she found a second family at Otscon, where she cherished her work and her colleagues, especially her “head honchos,” Blake and Zac. Twilla also found her soulmate, T. Sr., with whom she shared an inspiring and dynamic partnership.
Twilla loved reading and enjoyed fishing trips, although she preferred watching over fishing herself. A strong-willed and witty woman, she always focused on the big picture and was known for setting high standards. She encouraged everyone she met to strive for greatness and reminded them they could achieve anything they set their minds to.
Twilla was greeted in eternal peace by her beloved grandmother, Goldie Cross; her sister, Kim Cross; and her mother, Goldie Lawson.
She leaves behind a legacy of love with her life partner of 17 plus years, T. Sr., and her three daughters: Tamara Cross, Ta’Mornin Brown, and Ta’Yestaday Cross. Her cherished grandchildren—TeNijia Denny, CayDren Scott, Jerriah Cross, Harmoni Cross, Journieh Cross, and Knaledge Cross—will carry her vibrant spirit forward.
Twilla’s unwavering determination, contagious humor, and immense love for her family and friends will forever be celebrated by all who knew her.
