Troy Johnson's Obituary
Troy D. Johnson was born on January 5, 1984, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Cynthia Johnson and Alonzo Spencer.
Troy departed this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by both grandparents James and Dorothy, his parents Cynthia and Alonzo, his brother Terrence, his son T’Jean, and nephew Tyrese.
Troy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Hali, one son Troy Jr., two daughters T’Anna and Tahyrah, two sisters Tramicka and Tia, ten nieces and nephews, six uncles and aunts, one great aunt and one great uncle and a host of cousins and friends.
Troy enjoyed life with his children and family most of all. Troy went through his childhood in Columbia mostly but spent a few years in his family’s hometown of Springfield, Illinois. He graduated from Hickman High School in December 2002. Troy started dating his future wife in middle school, they graduated together and started their family in 2006 when T’Jean was born. The passing of T’Jean brought our family closer in 2009. Troy Jr. was born in 2010, T’Anna was a short time to follow. He started at Columbia College and graduated with an associate degree in General Studies. He was shy a few classes of getting his bachelor’s in criminal justice. He married Hali in 2012 and had his last child Tahyrah in 2013. He loved going to the Zoo, going on vacation, and visiting family out of town. Troy was quiet but loved all people secretly. He had friends and family all over the world and dreamed of one day visiting them all.
Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbia at 2:00 PM. The visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church on Saturday.
Troys passing was unexpected and the family is accepting contributions to offset the costs of his homegoing service. Any amount is a blessing to the family. Donations can be made at https://fundthefuneral.com/troy-johnson
