Tondelaya Carter, 52, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1-2 Monday at the church.
Tondelaya Danielle Carter 52, departed from life on November 9th, 2023.
Tondelay was born November 7th, 1971, in Columbia Missouri to the late Mary Evelyn White and Danny Lee Miller.
Tondelaya was educated at Hickman high school. She volunteers at the CMCA where she was a resource advocate. Tondelaya had a big heart and helped a lot of people, rather it was getting your rent paid or your lights turned on. She loved to gamble, country music, (Gretchen Wilson), and honey buns “a breakfast for champions is what she would say”. Tondelaya loved her family, especially children and grandchildren.
Tondelaya leaves to cherish her memory: her long-time companion Curtis Dale Jones Sr., three sons; Curtis Dale Jones Jr, Dewayne Theodore James Carter, and Andru Keon Tyrese Carter, 8 grandchildren. One sister Signora Ann Carter, one brother Danny Lee Miller Jr., Stepfather Bob White, multiple nieces, nephews and a host of family.
She is preceded in death by mother Mary Evelyn Carter, Father Danny Lee Miller, Grandmother Etta Evelyn Carter, Grandfather Thomas O. Carter Jr., Nephew Timothy Wright Jr.
