Timothy Brown's Obituary
Timothy Wayne Brown was born on February 16, 1958, in Kansas City, MO, he fell asleep peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024, surrounded by family. There will be a Celebration of Life and Dinner on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 4:30 PM at the American Legion Hall in Columbia, MO at 3669 Legion Lane, Columbia, MO 65201.
Tim was a hard worker. There wasn’t much in life he couldn’t do or fix. He had a variety of interests that he loved sharing with his friends and family.
Tim met the love of his life, Karen Sue (Tinsley) Brown, and they were married on February 22, 1975. In the 49 years they shared together, they welcomed two daughters, whom they loved dearly, and built a lifetime of memories. Tim was known for how much he loved his family. He was always ready for an adventure and shared many vacations, horse trail rides, motorcycle trips, quick builds, and lots of laughter with family and friends.
He loved kids, so he was overjoyed to welcome four grandchildren into his world. He was an amazing and proud “Pop” to his grandkids and to all his honorary grandkids, whom he loved so much. The great memories he shared with them will live in their hearts forever. He looked forward to Taco Tuesdays with them every week.
Tim was baptized on July 30, 1971, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His faith meant so much to him, and he remained faithful to the end. He looked forward to his hope for the future and when he would be reunited with his family again.
Tim is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Brown of Wooldridge, MO; daughter, Staci Mantle, and her husband, Jason Mantle, of Boonville, MO; daughter, Tara Zimmerman, of Rolla, MO; four grandchildren, Jonathan Wright of Sullivan, MO; three granddaughters Morgan Vincent of Boonville, MO; Myah Vincent of Columbia, MO; and Brooklyn Mantle of Boonville, MO; and his brother, David Brown of MO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
