Thomas J. Lee, 80, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Boone Hospital in Columbia. A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at HT May & Son Funeral Home in Boonville. A graveside service will be held at Roanoke Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Saturday
Thomas Jefferson Lee ,80, of Prairie Home ,MO passed away Friday June 7, 2019.
Born December 16, 1938 in Chariton County, MO. Thomas was the seventh child born to Rev. William Roy Lee and Elizabeth ( Grant) Lee.
Thomas grew up in Armstrong, MO. His love for baseball earned him many whoopings. He would rush his chores hiding the skillets and pans under the sink so he could go out and play ball with the big guys, despite knowing that call from mom was coming.
Known around the world for his amazing cooking. Thomas mastered his culinary skills as a teenager when cooking Sunday dinner seemed more interesting than Sunday service.
As a hard working man, Thomas started Lee's Heating and Air Conditioning in 1982 , which allowed him to provide for his family and loved ones.
Thomas married the love of his life Jaqueline Lee in 1990. Together they enjoyed traveling, hosting, and each others conversation.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters Cassandra Lee- Kansas City, MO and Kelly (Michael) Shannon- Loganville, GA. Two sons Alerick (Andrea) Smith - Jacksonville, FL and Abdullah (Danisha) Davis-Kansas City, MO. Two step sons Robert Hickem Jr (Angela) Hickem - Phoenix, AZ and Sean (Ana) Hickem, Tucson, AZ. He has one sister Alva Wilson -Colorado Springs, CO. He has a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Raymond Lee , and four sisters. Gertrude Terrill Mitchell, Edna Jones Bracken, Ruth Ganaway and Naomi Christian.
