Thomas Banks, 74, of Fayette, MO, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at his home. Services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville, MO. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday. Thomas David Banks passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Born April 8, 1948, to Thomas F. Banks, Sr., and Ethel Irene (Banks) Shipley in Fayette, Missouri. He graduated from Fayette High School. He was a member of the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War with honorable discharge January 1971. After returning home his passion was working outside, riding horses and caring for the animals he loved.
He is survived by sisters: Debbie Banks (Jim) Spalding, Kristine Coleman (David) Rankine of Centreville, VA, Misti Coleman of Columbia, MO. Daughters: Cherise Roberts of Hannibal, MO, Andrea Banks of Toledo, Ohio, Deidre Banks of Tampa, Florida, Audrianna Banks of Atlanta, Georgia. Son: Michael Banks of state of Washington. Brother: Tony Lewis of Boonville, MO. Grandchildren: Rodnese, Prosperity, Ayanna, Kayla, Amahdjhe, Katrell, Kaziyah, Armani, Kayson. Special friend Becky Miller, Troy Williams and Brendal King.
He was preceded in death by brother- Bradley Banks, son-Rodney Jackman, parents Thomas F. Banks, Sr. Ethel Shipley. Aunts: Ella Mae Gibson, Fannie Belle Broadus, Jean Harrisean Baskett.
