Teresa Jean Pierce's Obituary
Teresa Pierce, 62, of Centralia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, after a long battle with cancer, at her home. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Red Top Christian Church in Hallsville at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be from 2-3 PM Sunday at the church.
Teresa Jean Pierce was born on June 5, 1957, in Linton, IN, the daughter of Jerry Burger and Shirley Martindale. Teresa was a hard working woman. Teresa was a cosmotologist in her early years. She then became a CNA. She worked for the Hallsville School for many years and she retired from the University of Missouri in the spring of 2019.
Teresa was a loving mother and her children meant everything to her. She was a sweet and caring woman. She had a wonderful sense of humor, always puting a smile on people's faces, and laughter in the room.
Teresa leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Ashley Pierce and grandchildren Cameron Sabastian and Landon O'Connor of Centralia, MO, her daughter Hayley Brooks and grandchildren Kylie and Austin Brooks of Hallsville, MO, Her son Adam Pierce of Centralia, MO, her sister and brother-in-law Tammy and Morris Summerville, of Bloomington, IN, her brother David Burger of Linton, IN, nieces and nephews Amy and Matt Smith of Bloomington, IN., Mari and Zachary Burger of Linton, IN, Travis and Sally Summerville, of Bedfor, IN, also great nieces and nephews, the father of her children Stephen Pierce of Centralia, MO.
Pallbearers will be W.C. Fields, Rick Burton, Devin Ferrell and Travis Summerville.
