Tareva Sharesse Williams-Anderson came into this world on May 1st, 1986, at 8:38pm, sunny-side-up, with her eyes wide open and a smile on her face, ready to face the world, and she lived the rest of her life that way. She is a daughter, a wife, a granddaughter, a great- granddaughter, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a cousin, and a best friend. Tareva had an enormous love for all forms of life. She saw a purpose in every being she crossed.
Throughout her life, she took care of numerous pets: dogs, turtles, cats, geckos, bunnies, gerbils, hamsters, birds, fish. She found all forms of life so precious, that even if an ant had crawled into her home, she was known to scoop it up in a cup and take it outdoors to set it free. She aspired to be a veterinarian and was selected to attend the Mizzou Summer Odyssey Program of Veterinary Sciences. But the love of animals was only one of Tareva’s passions.
Tareva was a talented artist and loved to sketch. Her artwork was often on display in the Grey Willows Art Gallery of Fayette, Missouri. One of her most beloved pieces is pictured down below.
Although she may have not had much to give on special occasions such as Christmas and birthdays, she made use of her God-given talent to gift every one of her family members with something she made with her hands and something that came from her heart. This love of art was accompanied by a love of music. Her family will always think of her spirit and fortitude when they hear the song, “Rise Up,” by Andra Day.
Earlier in her life, Tareva accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She became a member of Second Baptist Church of Fayette, where she was nurtured and taught what it meant to have a relationship with God, and thus her love for the Lord was deep. Within Second Baptist Church, she was an active member of the youth department, youth choir, and then the adult choir.
Tareva is a 2004 graduate of Fayette High School. In her high school career, she received several academic awards and was chosen to attend Girls’ State. She was a member of the National Honor Society, and she was also a member of the FHS Color guard. After high school, she chose Central Methodist University as her home for higher education. There, she was a double major and earned bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She completed those degrees while working at several jobs including the Fayette Caring Center and Braun Home.
On July 15th, 2017, a lifelong dream of hers came true when she married the love of her life, Mr. Chance Anderson. On Monday, November 8, 2021, Tareva had to leave her loved ones behind, but they know that she is waiting patiently for them to join her in pure joy and perfection one day.

As anyone would know who has walked the walk of life, sometimes the light of life grows dim, and it’s hard to see the path. No matter how dark the night seemed to get, Tareva took on every challenge she faced, head first, sunny-side-up, and eyes wide open.
