Boots began his work career at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO, where he retired after working 37 years.
As the old saying goes, "He never met a stranger." Always welcoming, joking around with a big smile on his face, a heart of gold. If you stayed around long enough, he was sure to
offer you a cold Bud Light. Boots was passionate about his wife Gloria Jean, his family and close friends. Boots loved anything John Deere, working outside in the yard and could be seen anytime of the day wiping and waxing, applying some chrome additions to his cars especially his beloved Chrysler 300 which he nicknamed "Hemi” while sitting back enjoying an ice-cold Bud Light...”U Know Da Deal”!
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, daughter, grandparents and grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Gloria Jean Barnett; sons Charles (Wendy) Barnett, Arlando (Latrice) Barnett; daughters Kimberly Chatman, Tereska Chatman; sisters Gwendolyn Jackson, Cindy Paige; brothers Ralph Paige, Terry Paige; grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
