Sharyl Adams' Obituary
Sharyl Lynn Adams (Hunter), 64, unexpectedly passed away in her home in Sweet Springs, MO, on July 1st, 2025, after years of managing severe seizures and other prolonged illnesses. Sharyl was born April 17, 1961, in Marshall, MO. She grew up in Sweet Springs, MO, but lived in several areas over her lifetime, expanding the circle of friends that turned to family over the years, touching many hearts along the way. Sharyl loved spending summers around Woodland Shores, where she, her mother, and her kids would spend all day on the water. She also loved to fish, camp, and float down the river with friends and family.
She was known for her loving personality, giving nature, big heart, and even bigger bag of endless everything anyone might need. Sharyl was proud to have joined the military following high school, exiting with an honorable discharge. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend—but most of all, an amazing and loving Nana to her many grandkids, who were her entire world.
Sharyl was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Beck; father, Ronald Hunter; and three grandchildren, Patricia Koehler, Keatyn Hemme, and Gannon White.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald J. Hunter, and three nephews; four children, Brittany Perkins (Randy), Brandi Perkins (Samuel), Hunter White (James), Dylan Marquess (Bethany); and fifteen grandchildren, as well as many biological and “adopted” nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, and friends that turned into family along the way.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to those who have helped with this painfully unexpected loss and assisted in many ways to help lay her to rest and send her off properly. They couldn’t get through this difficult time without you.
Please come and share your memories of Sharyl (Mom) as we say goodbye and cherish the time we had together at her Celebration of Life, being held at her home in Sweet Springs, MO, on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, with a biodegradable balloon and lantern release between 3–4 p.m., a small pastoral service with blessing of the food, followed by a dinner. She would want her memorial services to be in a place full of family, friends, and loved ones—with plenty of food (where she doesn’t have to cook for once), laughter, love, and memories/stories of the life she lived, and we will continue to live for her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to assist with memorial/end-of-life arrangements and expenses be sent to: https://gofund.me/96fd0d28
