Shamya Nicole Brimmage's Obituary
Shamya Nicole Brimmage, 25, of Columbia took flight with the Angels on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at University of Missouri Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, March 31 at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will be from 10-12 PM Friday at the funeral home.

On the evening of March 21, 2017, God called home Shamya “Nikki” Nicole Brimmage. Nikki leaves behind two precious boys Tay’Shaun Barrett and Darius Dansberry. Shamya was born to Teresa Jones and Reginald Brimmage on March 21, 1992. Even thought her life was tragically ended, she was received by God. Grandmothers Hattie Swift and Helen Moody preceded her in death.
Shamya received her name from her Auntie Brigette “Nicki” Nicole. Nikki was born in Brooklyn, IL. She moved to Columbia and attended Columbia Public Schools.
Nikki blossomed into a beautiful intelligent woman. She was passionate about her children and always made sure they were taken care of. Nikki went by many names 3 ft tall and Booney. Protective, loving, caring, and determined she always talked about improving her life and the life of her children. She was a strong, driven woman of her children.
Nikki leaves to cherish her memory, children Tay’Shaun Barrett, Darius Dansberry, her parents Reginald Brimmage and Teresa Jones, stepfather Leroy Jones, two sisters Tyhesia Brimmage and Tiara Jones, five brothers Travon Wiley, Dontrez Jones, Duran Jones, Cortez Brimmage, and Jaron Brimmage, grandmother Elizabeth Banks, five aunts Brigette Nicole Banks-Sims, Uhura Brimmage, Lorraine Burnett, Sarita Jones, and Cynthia Branch, five uncles Leroy Jones, Aaron Jones, Orlando Brimmage, Freddie Brimmage, Cecil Brimmage, and Lorenzo Brimmage who also preceded her in death.
