Samuel Anderson's Obituary
Samuel Felce Anderson, Jr. aka “Iceman” Age 54, made his transition on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Golden LivingCenter, Jefferson City, MO. There was a special private memorial service attended by sister, brothers, daughter and a close friend.
Samuel was born in Flint, MI on January 5, 1962 to Samuel and Bernice Anderson. Samuel was a resident of Jefferson City, MO for approximately 10 years. Even though Samuel was a “Transplant” in Jefferson City, you would be hard pressed to find someone that didn’t know Samuel or know of him. He loved people and he never met a stranger.
Samuel accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Pastor R. R. Gordon at the St. Paul Baptist Church of Flint, MI. There Samuel was fondly remembered for being a rumbustious child in Vacation Bible School. Samuel attended the Flint Community Schools, Martin Elementary, Holmes Junior High and Northwestern High School.
Samuel had many hobbies. He loved playing basketball and he could sing any Stevie Wonder song. He loved to brag how great a speller he was which is now a dying art because of technology.
Samuel leaves to mourn his passing: Two Daughters, Nikki and Kirsten; Two Sons, Christian and Justice; One Sister, Sandra; Two brothers, Joseph and Mark; brother-in-law, William; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to daughter Nikki, Family/Friends,William, Todd, Louise, Reva, Clarence and Sharon for their support during Samuel’s illness.
A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Capital Region Medical Center, University of MO Hospital, GoldenLiving Center, and Hospice Compassus. We would also like to acknowledge and give thanks to all those that called Samuel during his last days and for all the prayers that were sent up to God on Samuel’s behalf.
Samuel was preceded in death by his mother and father, Samuel and Bernice Anderson; brother Melvin.
