Sadie Corrine Buckner, 91, of Columbia, MO slept into the arms of Jesus on Monday, December 28, 2020, at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11-12 Saturday at the church.
On Monday, December 28, 2020, Sadie Corrine Buckner beloved aunt, passed away at age 91.
Sadie Corrine was born on September 2, 1929 in Miami, MO to Roscoe and Bertha (Pearson) Buckner. She attended elementary school in Miami and Douglass High School in Columbia.
Following high school she travelled to St. Louis for a year. She returned to Columbia where she became an expert seamstress and worked as a domestic. Sadie loved her family, shown in how she cared for her parents until their death and in how she mothered her nephews and nieces. Her passions included traveling, researching family history, crafts and home improvement projects.
Sadie Corrine is preceded in death by both parents, her sister Anna Dolly Tucker, brothers Earl (EW), Lewis, Peyton and one niece Sabra.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces: Lewis (Janice) Buckner Jr. of Jefferson City, MO; Lewis (Debra) Tucker Jr., Paula L. Hayes of Columbia, MO; Marvin (Betty) Tucker of Phoenix, AZ; Wayne (Mary) Buckner; Earl W. (Diana) Buckner Jr. of Columbia, MO; Wesley (Vivian) Buckner of Pearland, TX; Vincent (Brenda) Buckner of Blue Springs, MO; James Buckner of Kansas City, MO; Melvin (Stephanie) Buckner of Columbia, MO; Angel Buckner of Allen, TX and several cousins, great and great-great nephews, nieces and friends.
