Ruth Robinson's Obituary
Ruth Robinson, 68, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed way surrounded by family on Friday October 9, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Moberly at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM Saturday at the church.
ON OCTOBER 9, 2015 Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called home one of his daughters Ms Ruth Q. Robinson.
Ms.Ruth at a early age gave her life to Christ as she was affectionately known as a woman of God was born on February 22, 1947 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Ms Ruth May Wall of Laurinburg, NC and Mr William Sutton of Kinston, NC. Ruth was the youngest of five daughters. Ruth attended school in Portsmouth, Va until 1962 were she attended school at Diocesa of Trenton in Wickatunk, NJ until she graduated. Ms Ruth moved to Washington ,DC were she met Kenneth E. Robinson and then married on April 24,1970 in Baltimore, MD. From this union a son Anthony E. Robinson was born . A short time later they divorced . Ruth then later as of the year of 1972 became a Air Traffic Controller were she was employed for 36 years service (Retired) in Columbia Mo . Some of her accomplishments were becoming National Secretary for the National Black Correlation of Federal Aviation Employees were she received multiple of awards. Ruth became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church of Moberly, Mo in 2007 with her family who joined shorty after. Ms Ruth was active in her church as a Deaconess , President of the District Choir and adult choir, Adult Sunday School, Vice President of the Congress of Christian education, ...... Program Committee for Home Mission, and a regular choir member. Were she was a worker in God's Vineyard.
Proceeded in death by her parents and a daughter Andrea Sutton. She is survived by her son Mr. Anthony E . Robinson ( Mrs. Kathy L. Robinson ), four Grandchildren Kasir A. Robinson Jeffersonville, IN, Christopher V .Roseberry Jr. Kansas City Mo, KayShun (butter) Robinson Columbia ,MO, Kendrick S Robinson Columbia ,Mo , a Great Granddaughter Cadence S Roseberry, four sisters Ella (Jackie) Sutton Philadelphia, Pa, Lorraine Oneil Richmond, Va, Thelma Henry Portsmouth Va, Gloria McCelod Portsmouth Va, and a host of nieces, nephew ,cousins ,love ones and friends.
