Big Money, it has been two years and the hurt is just as fresh. I miss you my brother!
Ron monroe aka Big Daddy will be greatly missed by his family and friends one of the good ones took from us to early. I worked with him on the Kcs he always had great jokes and funny sayings.
Our warmest thoughts and prayers are with you, the family, many friends, and co-workers Ron touched. I had only met Ron once, but my husband, Moses, had worked with Ron at KCS for years and always had many wonderful things to say and stories to tell of Ron. Through those stories you couldn't help but to know Ron, and like him.
We are so very sorry for your loss and pray for GOD to hold you close in HIS arms and offer the peace that only HE can provide. May Ron's memory live on in the memories and stories shared, and may you always remember his smile and laugh, as that is what I remember most about meeting Ron. Gone, but not forgotten.
Our Deepest Sympathies and Condolences,
Moses and Valerie Braun
Ronald, my Angel, I cannot get you off my mind regarding your sudden departure from your family and selfishly from me, your Aunt Erma. our relationship goes so far back beginning when you were crawling and then begin to walk, and of course talk. You were mmy joy. i loved sharing time with you, laughing with you, and even fussing at you for constantly running through the house. You figured out a way to run the entire house, run, through run as fast as you could go. Really we you were finally stopped you were ready for a cold drink of water and a place to cool down. YOU WERE REALLY MY FIRST NEPHEW...AND I was so proud of you; what ever you accomplished. You followed me almost everywhere I went and loved riding in the car...standing up in the front seat with your arm around the head rest...that's how close you rode with both Momma Vi (your heart of hearts, and me). I remember even when you were being pottty trained...smart to go hide and show up with the evidence in your underwear. Cleaning you was not a problem, it was all about love and keeping you just the way your mom(Nona) did. I still have the first braid from you first haircut. Tied at the end with a yellow ribbon (yellow means friendship)...we were the best of friends. I deeply miss you, and hope you are still laughing at the stories I would ttell about you. The fascination of the seeds we called helicopter seeds falling from the tree and your announcement of what you perceived them to be (bird ecame "stuff) LOL.
You grew up, graduated and followed me and other family members to Kansas. We enjoyed each other...Worked at a local hospital and then the YWCA until you looked and colleges and made up your mind to go to Lincoln University. Your uncle Larry drove you to school and life as a young man with dreams begin. Your early belief in God and your early acceptance of our Christian faith and beliefs strengthened you to be able to do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
Life became more complex, vows taken were embedded in your heart, and you believed men should not show emotions or weakness. That's a lesson I did not share with you, that everyone needs to talk to someone when life's stresses become more than we can bear.I am so sorry for that!
I pray that I can continue to live out my life in the manner you lived yours...If I can help somebody a
s I travel on, then my living will not be in vain...Thanks Ronald, for letting me into your life to share in laughter and sadness.
My heart in broken but I know earth has no sorrow, heaven cannot heal. I love you
more than you ever realized.
Rest peacefully, seated around the throne of God, where everyday is Sunday...no more sorrow, no pain; only joy and peace there.
I love you!
Auntie...I'll miss your saying when we talked and I asked you how you were doing...your answer: oh shaking and baking and trying to make it!
My heart goes out to my cousin Ron'S family especially Arnel and Leslie. May Ron rest in peace. I remember playing football with Ron at Rock Bridge, he helped us win that State title. I remember talking to Ron at our reunion a few years back, it was so good to see him. RIP Ronald Monroe.
Ronald, was simply the best and he will be solely missed. To the family, may God hold you gently in his loving arms in your time of sorrow. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Blessings🙏
