Rodger Garcia, 61, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church in Columbia. There will be no visitation. Rodger Garcia, 61, residing in Columbia, Missouri, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord and our savior on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 11:41 PM, at home surrounded by family and friends.
Rodger was born January 23, 1961, to Roberto G. Garcia and Luz G. Garcia in Ionia, Michigan. He and his family moved to Lansing, Michigan, where he lived a full, loving and family filled life with his other siblings, parents and family.
in 2010 Rodger and his wife Latricia Garcia moved to Columbia where he lived until his passing.
He would enjoy family cookouts, BBQs, and hanging out with his wife, children and family.
He is survived by his wife Latricia Garcia, his children Rodger Garcia Jr., Phillip Garcia, Garrett Garcia and Cassandra Garcia. Stepdaughters Netanya Lee, Brandee Lee and stepsons Demarcos Parker, Aondrea Lee and Ricky Nelson, twenty-five grandchildren, his brother Roberto Garcia Jr. (Amy), Mary Davila (Humberto), Jovita Palacio (Joe), Maria Victoria Miller (John), Emilio T. Garcia (Stacey), and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Roberto G. Garcia, his mother Luz G. Garcia, brother Patrick Anthony Garcia, sister Luz Elia (Garcia) Wang, nephew John Leonard Miller III.
He worked for Ballenger Construction and Cassey's until he retired in 2019. His passion in life was fishing, hanging out with family and friends, making people laugh and going to the range with Ricky Nelson and Edward Nelson. He was a loving man who enjoyed life. He also loved watching football with his wife, children, family and friends.
