Robert Courtney's Obituary
Robert Courtney, 92, of Boonville, slept into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 2 PM at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Missouri.
Robert Eugene Courtney died February 7, 2018. He was born December 12, 1925 in El Dorado, AR. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy from 1942-1945 on the USS Blackhawk. He moved to Dayton, OH where he graduated from the University of Dayton, and married Anna Mercurio in 1952. He moved to Boonville in 1968 as Plant Manager of McGraw-Edison and later opened True Value Hardware. He
was an active member of the Shriners and the Boonville mini motorcycle riders.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna, one sister and one brother. Robert leaves his daughters Cindy Dearborn (John) of Little Rock, AR, Jill Campbell (Don), Abby Courtney (Curt Kempf) and Angie Jeffrey (Shannon) all of Boonville as well as stepson Charles Kelly of Dayton, OH. He was most proud of his 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2 pm at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boonville High School Booster Club and may be submitted to Boonville High School designated to the Booster Club Memorial.
