Rickie Dunn's Obituary
Rickie Dunn, 40, of Columbia, MO. departed this life on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Columbia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be from 10-12 pm Saturday at the church. Following the Burial there will be a repast at Friendship Baptist Church.
There will be a candle light vigil Thursday December 4, 2014 at Hickman High School parking lot at 7pm. T-shirt & hoodies will be available.
Rickie Allen Dunn was born September 16, 1974 in Columbia, MO the son of James E. Dunn and Iona Dunn. He was the fifth child of seven children.
Rickie gave his life to Christ at an early age at Old Richland Baptist Church in Fulton, MO. Where his father Rev James E. Dunn was the pastor. Growing up Rickie was a member of the Oakland Jr High football team. Where he broke school records. Rickie also played for the Hickman High School Football team. Where Rickie also broke school records and was one of Hickman High School’s all star football players. Rickie rocked the golden jersey number of 21. Rickie attended college at Columbia College. Rickie was a football coach for the Columbia Raiders. Rickie was a coach and father to all the children he knew or came in contact with. “Rickie was good with kids and he loved the kids”. He attended every single school event of his children. Rickie even made time to support other children he knew at their sporting events. He was a graduate of Hickman High School, Class of 1993 in Columbia, MO. Rickie has always resided in Columbia. He finally meet his beautiful Girlfriend Reba S. Newman of 20 years. He is the father of three children. He was employed at Pepsi Cola as a delivery driver.
Rickie A. Dunn leaves behind his parents Rev. James E. Dunn Sr. and Iona Dunn, and seven brothers Marty Newman, of Columbia, MO, Karl Herden of Columbia, MO, James Dunn Jr. of Columbia, MO, Julius Dunn of Overland Park Kansas, Raymond of Tulsa, OK, Kevin Turner of Illinois, Joshua Williams of Fulton, MO, and one sister Pamela Williams of Columbia, MO. He also leaves to cherish his memories one daughter Rickiesha A. Dunn 18 years old of Columbia, MO, and two sons Rickie I. Dunn 10 years old of Columbia, and Taravis Q. Smith 21 years old of North Dakota. He also leaves behind a few nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, close relatives, and friends.
