Raymond Shivers' Obituary
Raymond “Tiny” Leroy Shivers, 69, of Columbia, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.
Visitation is Saturday, January 18, from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Ayanna Shivers officiating at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Mexico, MO. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Raymond was born on January 9, 1950 in Mexico, the son of Henry and Minnie (Exford) Shivers.
Raymond attended Garfield Elementary, Hardin Junior High, and graduated from Mexico High School. He worked at Boone Hospital Center as an Operating Room Orderly prior to his retirement. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, sports, and going to the casino.
Survivors include his significant other, Shari Jacobs; one daughter, LaKeisha (Robert) Palmer, of Columbia, three sons, Stephen Tyrell (Jan) and Sean Williams, both of Kansas City, MO, and Ramon Dejuan (Carlette) Shivers of Columbia; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Janice Shivers, Susan (Joe) Long, Sandra Johnson, all of Mexico, and Joyce Shivers of Waukegan, IL; two brothers, Henry and Ronald Shivers of Columbia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Tiny was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Shivers; one sister, Evelyn Lawson; and his grandparents Lawrence and Polly Exford, Mattie Johnson and Ray Shivers.
