Paulette Tinder's Obituary
Paulette Marie Tinder, 70, Warrensburg, MO., formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was born on April 26, 1944 to Paul Edward and Wanda Belle (Smith) Perkins in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the oldest of three children. On August 31, 2001, she married her High school sweetheart, Sherman Tinder in Kokomo and became a resident of Knob Nobster, MO for several years before moving to Warrensburg. Paulette loved spending time with the Lord and her family, she enjoyed reading and finding great places to eat. She had a smile that would light up the room, a laugh that was contagious, she never met a stranger, had a big and kind heart, and always had a sassy and witty comment for any and every occasion. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an Usher and assisted the Church Secretary.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Paul and Wanda Perkins of Kokomo, two brothers, Winfred Perkins and Billy-mac Perkins both of Kokomo, and her eldest son, Bobby Broadus Jr., also of Kokomo. She is survived by her husband, Sherman Tinder of Warrensburg, MO; her aunt, Cecil Stringer of Kokomo, IN; two sons: Ricardo Broadus of Inglewood, CA and Marcus Tinder (Terry) of Crestview, FL; four daughters: Shawn Robinson (Jeff) of Lawrenceville, GA; Maisha Cooper (Brandon) of Huntsville, TX; Kristi Tilden (AJ) of Windsor, MO; and Heather Tinder of Warrensburg, MO; three sisters-in-law, Robin Perkins of Twain Harte, CA; Shirley Jean Humphreys and Elizabeth Tinder both of Kokomo, IN; and 14 grandchildren: Robert Broadus III, Porsche Carter-Broadus (Bobby Broadus); Parris, Heavyn, and Trinity (Ricardo Broadus); Jazzaray, Paris, and Jordan (Marcus Tinder); Ashanti (Shawn Robinson); Ashleigh and Aleczander (Kristi Tilden); Tre’Szaun, Destiny and Divinity (Maisha Cooper); four great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
Arrangements: The Viewing will be held on Friday, February 13th from 6:30pm – 8:30 p.m.; and the Homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, February 14th at 1:00pm. Both the Viewing and Homegoing celebration will be at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 212 N. Main St., Warrensburg, MO – (660) 747-5685.
