Paula Lear's Obituary
Paula Lear, 62, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Fulton Manor. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Reverend James Gray officiating. There will be no visitation.
Paula Sue Lorenz Lear was born January 24, 1961, in Fulton, MO, the daughter of Paul Dean Lorenz and Carolyn Sue Harrison. To know Paula was to love her. Paula was the ultimate people person. She loved people and had a way of making you feel very special. She worked for the Columbia Tribune in the classified department, she also worked in admissions for Boone Hospital Center, Missouri Heart Center and most recently office administrator at Columbia Surgical Associates. She had many home-based businesses that allowed her to interact and socialize with people including home interiors, Pampered Chef, and Stampin-Up. She was Married to William Lear on October 25, 1980, and he preceded her in death.
Paula was full of life until her health declined due to a massive stroke earlier this year. She was improving until her health took a turn for the worse.
She leaves to cherish her memory her Mother Carolyn Burks of Columbia, MO, her stepmother Cheryl Lorenz, one daughter Heather Casey (Chris) of Ashland, MO, Matthew Lear (Regan) of Jamestown, MO, one brother Jerry Dean Burks (Ashley) of Columbia, MO , three sisters Penny Lorenz-Anderson (Andrew) of Columbia, MO, Tina McKee and Lorrie Terrel both of Fulton, MO three grandchildren Dominick Lansche, Caleb Casey and Melena Casey, two aunts Vicky Dreyer, Gladys Harrison both of Fulton, three uncles Jim Dreyer, Price Harrison, Floyd Ray Harrison all of Fulton, three nieces Emily Bailey, Emily Anderson and Kaleigh Burks all of Columbia, MO, one nephew Luke Burks of Columbia, MO and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband and her maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles Jay Lorenz, Robert Harrison and Jerry Harrison.
