Paul and I were classmates from elementary to high school. He was always pleasant and a genius. One of our teachers who had a photographic memory would stand before the class and read without the book. He would occasionally wake Paul up and ask a question or two. Paul always answered correctly and was allowed to go back to sleep. I was so impressed with the teacher and Paul's interaction. Several years ago, while Paul lived in Southeast Missouri, we connected by telephone. I'm thankful for those moments in time.
