Pamela Ann Williams' Obituary
Pamela Ann Williams, 77, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Sugar Grove Baptist Church in Columbia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church.
Pamela Ann Williams was born on March 8, 1948, in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond Williams and Minnie West. A native Columbian, she remained close to home throughout her life. Pamela attended Columbia Public Schools and was a member of several churches over the years, including Paris Fork Church, St. Luke United Methodist Church, Log Providence Baptist Church, and eventually Sugar Grove Baptist Church, where her father served as a deacon.
Pamela worked at Boone Hospital Center for thirteen years as a nurse's aide. She had a heart of gold and was known for her love and generosity—always opening her heart and home to others. She had a deep love for fishing and would have gone every day if she could. She was also well known for her cooking, especially her delicious fried fish and potatoes. Pamela enjoyed playing bingo and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She truly loved and touched so many hearts.
She is survived by four sons: Paul C. Simmons Jr., Reginald L. Simmons (Galina), Robert D. Simmons (Lakeisha), and Issac G. Williams; one daughter, Dana S. Simmons; four grandsons: Damarkus, Damarien, Damarco, and Damihr; six granddaughters: Darrielle, De’Andra, Tyanna, Alissa, Alenna, and Alyah (affectionately known as “Baby”); one great-grandson; and four great-granddaughters.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Williams and Minnie West; her brothers, John Henry Wright, William A. Williams, and Jimmy Lee Williams; her sisters, Diane Tapp and Linda Williams; her beloved niece Lenise Wright; and several other nieces and nephews.
