Ora Hannibal's Obituary
Ora Lee Hannibal, 90, of Columbia, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at Boone Landing Senior Living. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11-12PM at the church.
Ora Lee Hannibal was born on July 21, 1925 in Columbia, Mo., the daughter of Luther Connor and Elizabeth Yancey, Ora Lee was a graduate of Douglass High School. On April 13, 1952 she was united in marriage to James Everett Hannibal Jr. and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1962. She was a long time employee of the University of Missouri working in the agriculture economics department until her retirement.
Ora Lee was a devoted member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a very active member of the Women's Missionary Society.
Ora Lee leaves to cherish her memory two sons Donald(Linda) Connor, and James E.(Debbie) Hannibal III., of Columbia, Mo., two granddaughters Lenita Connor of Omaha, NE., and Brittany Connor of Columbia, Mo., one grandson Adam J. Hannibal of Columbia, Mo., her sister-in-law Juanita Rostice, a dear friend Rebecca Colbert, her son-in-law Charles Billingsley,and several nieces, nephews, cousins and church friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Harold Connor and her daughter Carol E. Hannibal Billingsley.
