Ola A. Duncan's Obituary
Ola A. Duncan, 67, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. A celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11-12PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Ola Duncan 67, of Columbia passed away o Monday, February 11th, 2017,with her loving nephew by her side.
Ola was born on December 5th,1951 in Fulton,Missouri to the late James (Thin Ryne) Wilkerson and Catherine(Cat) Wilkerson. Ola grew up in Columbia via Fulton Missouri and was a proud Hickman Kewpie graduate in 1971. After graduation she joined the Job Corp and pursued a diverse career in food,beverage and hospitality. She retired from the restaurant business after helping a old high school business start up and manage one of the most popular eateries in Columbia during the late 90’s called the Bread Basket Cafe after over 10 years of service.
When she wasn’t feeding Columbia, including Mizzous most elite athletes, she enjoyed a good country song ,a table full of BIngo cards and a chair at a slot machine. She also loved reading, True crime TV shows and most of all Denver Broncos football.
Ola is survived by her two children: Joanne Cole and CJ Cole, her sister Phyllis Kendrick and nephews, Julian And Anthony Stanton as well as a host of cousins, friends and adopted family.
