Dimwit
She was my sister, the Oldest is Claudia, then Norma, then Glenn, then Dimwit, then Nina. I remember her leaving the family house when she was quite young to get married. I saw the car drive off and was so saddened. She was like my Mom and Dad. She had a neart of real gold. She would give and if you were not thankful she would still give to you if she needed to. She lived all over the United States with her three children and husband Lehman Powell. She was playing marbles and a wasp went down her dress and stung her seven times. I had to go to the store to get tobacco (back then we were not as paranoid with children as we are now) Mom made a poltice and took care of it. We went to St. Peter's Catholic Cathedral and I was so proud as they were partol girls and were at the halfway and at the top watching and I was so proud. Over the years she was outstanding businessperson and she smoked. She quit but COPD got her. I went to the Pulmonologist in Jefferson CIty and it was at 26%. The Doctor said it was chronic upon I said so she can live and if she goes down it goes back up. She said no, after every attack and if it goes down it stays down. You literally suffocate. Before that she would visit from whatever part of the country she was in always driving with the kids and husband and they had station wagons and the back would always be full with treats and soda. We would drive down south every six months to see my Mom's relatives who were family. She always wanted to pay. I tried to get her to go to Barnes Hospital since they are number 5 in the world in pulmonary care but although only 60 miles away she stuck with her Doc. Side Note: I don't trust but just a few doctors and if you thought of a group as the lowest you would have to put the Medical Field, Judicial Field (I am retired Chief Assistant Prosecutor), then below them put the hospitals and below them put the pharmceutical companies, insurance companies and underneath them put the Congress. Canada buys drugs made in America cheaper than we pay and Congress will not let us buy from Canada. Norma never got into that and what I really admired is she lived each day as if there woiuld be another. She once said when you work you stick your tongue out like Dad and I said no but she was right I told her I missed Mom and Dad and she said that is water under the bridge and no matter how long you long for them they will not be back. Just realize they loved you and you them with each idiosynchrosyncrisys. She said look at what is coming down the river and grab the good stuff and avoid the bad. The thing that struck me was she then said "Whe you want to remember Dad and Mom just look in a mirror" I do that still and I also see her and many people that had an evvect on my life. People say it gets better with time. Well, you don't cry as much but a little part of you always dies whensomeone close to you dies. When she died a big part of me died.
