Nancy Eichholz's Obituary
Nancy Lee Wolf Eichholz died on August 11, 2024, in Boonville, surrounded by her family. Nancy was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 7, 1935, to John H "Jack" Wolf and May Smith Wolf. May died when Nancy was a year old, and she was raised by her second Mother Adele J Wolf.
Nancy was stylish -- a classic with a splash of trendy. She was kind, refined, and cultured. She was popular and funny and had a wide circle of friends.
Nancy's primary job was caring for her children and managing the family's busy household. She did this with unwavering compassion, including providing exceptional care to her special needs daughter.
In her early life, Nancy worked for Bell Telephone Company and left her position there to work part-time as a bookkeeper for the family-owned business. Later in life, when others her age were eyeing retirement, Nancy embarked on a new career honing her craft as a bartender at St. Louis' Fabulous Fox Theater. During her 20 years at the Fox, she forged lasting friendships and memories.
Nancy is survived by her children Mark J "Mick" Eichholz of Lenexa, Kansas, James B "Jim" Eichholz, of Boonville, Missouri, and Cheri Lee Eichholz Cherry (Michael) of Boonville, Missouri; grandchildren Neil Eichholz (Rebecca), Drew Eichholz, Nina Lee Cherry, and Hannah Eichholz; great-grandchildren Charles "Charlie" and Adelaide Eichholz. She was a dear aunt and sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard J "Bernie" Eichholz, daughters Linda Christine Eichholz and Adele Eichholz, and brother John H Wolf, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Crusoe's South. Donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or any animal welfare organization.
