Myeisha Micole Coats, 39, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at the Second Baptist Church in Columbia. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 12-1PM.
Myeisha Micole Coats was a beloved soul born December 3rd, 1984, to Jamesetta Marie Prince daughter of Betty Sue Tate and Lavern Tatum, and Robert Coats son of Deloris Ruth Coats and Robert Coats Senior. Granddaughter of Etta Evelyn Carter , and Barbara Jean Doxley of Columbia, Missouri.
Myeisha Micole was Jamesetta’s last child & Robert’s first child. Myeisha was a beautiful bundle of joy. Raised up on Park street and Moore walkway. Myeisha grew to be a lovable little girl with a humble spirit which followed her throughout all the days of her life .
As a young adult Myeisha enjoyed going out, traveling, attending her kids basketball games, making money, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. Myeisha’s life changed in 2001 when she brought her first child Meashja Mekell Grant into the world . From that moment of her life, it would become all about her daughter . A few years later March 7th, 2003 her second love came MeOnyae Monay Anderson. Followed by Meahjai Marie Anderson, Maniya Anteece Grant, Zion Alexander Clarkson, and Zylin Anthony Coats. Myeisha was an amazing mother to her children and took pride in sacrificing everything to make sure they never had to want or ask for anything.
Myeisha had a strong spirit; she never gave up or changed. She always remained the same. Always loyal, honest, trustworthy and loving. She was always independent, strong, and caring.
We love and miss you Myeisha, you will forever be in our minds and in our hearts until we see you again. Today we celebrate you going home to be with your Great Grandmothers Etta Kat and Barbara Jean, Grandma Sue, Grandpa Tony Tate , your momma Jamie, sister Maressa and too many more to name.
Myeisha Micole Coats is survived by daughters Me’Ashja Grant ( Pink) , MeOnyae Anderson, Meahjai Anderson ( Boo), Maniya Grant and sons Zion Clarkson and Zylin Coats. Grand daughter Maize Harper, father Robert Coats, brothers Darryl Jackson, Koshawn Lee, Kaion Coats and Tyree Monroe. Sister Marisha Prince, Aunties Carla Bradley, Crystal Bradley, Lisa Coats, Diane Coats, Karen Coats, Donna Coats. Uncles Thomas Carter lll, Charles Coats, her Prince family, Coats family, and a host of nieces, nephews, love ones and friends .
