Mildred Sallee's Obituary
Mildred Sallee,96, of Columbia passed into eternity on Sunday February 10, 2013 at Columbia Health Care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Columbia. Visitation will be from 10-11 am Saturday at the funeral home.
Mildred Sallee was born on August 28, 1916 in Fulton, Mo., the daughter of Lillian and Charlie Tucker. She married Henry Sallee and no children were born to this union. Both Parents, along with her brothers Leon, Percy, Frances Lewis and Carl and Sisters Helen, Louise, and Christine all preceded her in death.
Mildred was a member of the New Richland Baptist Church and the oldest member of the church in the rural area of Fulton, Mo. Before her husband passed they were very active in the church. Mildred remained active in the Mission and worked in the kitchen. She was always willing to help others. She was a wonderful and caring person with a beautiful smile. She was blessed with a wealth of information and shared that knowledge with others. She would share wonderful meals, her recipes and her personal experience with her family.
Mildred’s memory is honored by one sister Allie Bass of Raytown, Mo., and a host of niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
