Michael Thompson's Obituary
Michael Thompson, 70, of Brunswick, MO, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital. Services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Keytesville Second Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church.
Michael Thompson was born on March 16, 1955, in Moberly, Missouri at the Moberly Regional Hospital. The son of Lincoln Thompson and Gladys Mann (Fristoe).
He attended school in Keytesville, Missouri. Michael had worked in the power plant industry in Clifton Hill, Missouri. He later chose retirement.
Michael Thompson had three children with the great ex- wife Laura Van Dyk (Wallace): Nikita Thompson, Quadra Thompson, Mychael Thompson and he also had a son Dimitri Thompson.
Michael Thompson loved spending time with his family, watching movies, listening to soul music, and simply relaxing. He enjoyed playing the lotter, scratch-offs, and taking the occasional trip to the casino. He also enjoyed visiting with his fellow neighbors who referred to him as Uncle Mike or Big Mike.
In June of 2018, Michael joined Keytesville Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, a moment deeply inspired and encouraged by his loving mother and sister Pastor Tamara Bolden. His faith brought him peace and strength, and his love for family and life will always be remembered.
Michael Thompson is survived by his four children Nikita Thompson (Collins) Sherman Collins of Kansas City, Missouri, Quadra Thompson and Roderick Pomfrey, Mychael Thompson and La'Shan Warren, Dimitri Thompson. His mother Gladys Mann (Fristoe), sister Tamara Bolden of Marshall, Missouri, nephew Idris Hamilton and wife Felicia Hamilton and children, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
