Michael Prude, 54, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center. Arrangements are pending.
Mr. Michael Eugene Prude was born on January 13, 1968, in East St. Louis, IL, to Nancy Prude and Harold Prince. Michael was a survivor, 10 lbs. at birth. Michael was baptized at an early age at Greater Providence Baptist Church of Washington Park, IL(Pastor M.J. Turner). He served as an Usher, very observant with a kind and gentle spirit. Michael received his education in East St. Louis, IL school systems. He always had a mindset to build and fix things – He was a self- taught Mechanic, also an Upholstery business. Michael was well-known, never met a stranger and is loved by so many! He was a people-person with a boisterous laugh and a great sense of humor! He had a” big heart” and was known by many names –Mike-Mike, Gentle Giant, Jolly Green Giant, P and Peasy and many more. He loved to travel and would help anyone, anytime. He gave so much of Himself! Michael loved his family and friends with his whole heart, and gave of himself in every way. Mike had an endearing name he called many people!
Michael departed this earthly life at 54 years of age on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 6:05 p.m. Left to cherish Memories of Michael are his Loving and devoted mother, Nancy L. Stockett, Two Brothers, Jamie Bernard Stockett (Lou), Boonville, MO and Kirby Stevens, St. Joesph, MO. Michael was the father to 8 Children; Noresha, Nakeiyla, Kierra, Justice and Michael Prude Jr. Bonus Children, Melonie, Angel and Rodney; two Grandchildren whom he Cherished and Loved dearly! Jeremiah and Arrei (sugar lump) Former Wife (Angela) A host of Aunts, Uncles and a multitude of acquaintance, as well as many friends; Three in particular, The 3 D’s – Dwight, Dan and DeLo (Paducah, KY). Michael was preceded in death by His Father Harold Prince, Stepdad Robert Stockett, Grandparents, Jack& Ossie Prince, Lizzie Prude, Brother Robert Jr. His bonus Son Little Lawrence.
