Michael Foster's Obituary
Michael Foster, 47, of Marshall, Missouri, passed away on January 21, 2026.
Michael was born in Columbus, Georgia, a place that always remained part of who he was. Though life carried him to Missouri, his Southern roots and the family ties he cherished never left him. He was a devoted father and a man who valued family deeply—both those related by blood and those bonded by love.
He is survived by his daughters, Cassandra Tresler and her husband Shane Tresler, and Latasha Blevins and her husband Charles Blevins; by Brandi Tewort, who was like a daughter to him, and her husband Jacob Tewort; and by Jacob Bargfrede, who remained part of the family he loved.
Michael was a proud grandfather to Morgan Bargfrede, Elizabeth Bargfrede, Jacob Wade Bargfrede, Jonathan Twilling, Ethan Twilling, and Luke Twilling, all of whom brought him great joy and purpose.
He is also survived by someone he lovingly called his sister, Dorothy Ann Robison of Sweet Springs, Missouri, whose bond with him was special and enduring. Additional survivors include aunts, uncles, and cousins in Columbus, Georgia, and Tennessee, along with many friends who were family in every way that mattered.
He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Sherry Lynn Lafferty; his mother; his grandmother; and two brothers.
Michael will be remembered for his deep love of family, his loyalty, and the way he opened his heart to those who needed one. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
