Melva Jane Gerard's Obituary
Melva Jane Gerard, 76, of Blackwater, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Blackwater. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 5:00 PM at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville.
Melva "Jane" Gerard was born on August 5th 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of Melva Jane Bell and James Kellum. She spent her childhood years in Jacksonville.
Jane had 4 children when she married Wayne Gerard SR on April 4th 1972. After marriage Jane and Wayne had a 5th child.
Jane and Wayne moved to Blackwater, Missouri in the late 80s where they worked for G&R Trucking. Jane continued to work in the trucking industry over 20 year before becoming disabled.
Jane loved collecting dolls, working on computers, caring for her animals and flowers. She always had a special love for birds. She loved to have a conversation with each and every person she met, there was not a person who was a stranger to Jane. She was loved by many and would always leave you with a smile.
Survivors of Jane are her son's Joseph Gerard and Wayne Gerard JR. They still reside in Blackwater, Missouri. She is also survived by over a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Melva Jane Bell and James Kellum, two sons Matthew Gerard, James Gerard, one daughter Sandy Switzer, and her husband Wayne Gerard SR.
