Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gordon and Kelly. May God grant you comfort during your hour of need.
To Melba Kelly Gordon Family,
Remembering Melba from our childhood days, we cherish those memories, having somewhat lost touch in our adult lives, we still remember the times we shared with “Toastie” as we called her then.
She has now fulfilled her purpose and we all should rejoice with her and thank our Heavenly Father for the life she lived among us. May God continue to bless you and give you strength.
Sincerely, Mary Kemp, Virginia Ganaway and Jamie Enyart
Dear Harold & Family:
We were not ready for our beloved Melba to leave us, but we all have comfort knowing that she is with our Heavely Father.. I like to think she is now reunited with family and friends, and I also believe that we all now have another precious angel in heaven watching over us.
I feel so fortunate that in our journey towards eternal life that Melba and I crossed paths and worked together for so many years.
Melba was a joy to work with and a very remarkable person. In the 36 years that I knew Melba I never saw her get angry — she was always calm. Melba was one of the first recipients of the Outstanding Staff Award in the College of Business. College of Business student leaders chose Melba for the Administrator of the Year Award. Melba was so special — she went over and beyond what was expected. Once during a cold winter night, a student called Melba at home desperate to retrieve a diskette he needed to complete a project the next morning. She came in and took care of his problem. Another student sent Melba flowers to express her appreciation for Melba’s kind assistance when the student became ill in a professor’s class.
What a pleasure to work with someone so terrific and wonderful. To know her was to love her. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
With my love, thoughts and prayers, Pat DeLong
Melba was a great example to me as I had the privilege of working in the College of Business at the University of Missouri where she worked. She knew her job so well and helped everyone around her in so many ways. She was a great teacher to so many of us, especially as newcomers to the college. I remember her as a warm and friendly person who did not speak unkind of others. She always knew me no matter where she saw me. Melba’s family will be in my prayers. Melba was a very special lady.
To The Kelly-Gordon Family
Words cannot express how much cousin Toast will be missed, she was the pillar of the family, very caring never had a bad word for anyone. It’s hard knowing that three weeks before herr passing we were working on our family tree and that that would be the last time I see you. God has called home an angel, tell all the others hello as they welcome you into the gates of heaven. Love you and rest well my cousin

I knew Melba for many years as a co-worker at the Business College of the University of Missouri. She was such a patient and helpful person to all of us and took us under her wing whenever we needed help. I admired her sincere kindness and generosity of spirit. I am grateful to have known her.
To the Kelly/Gordon Family
We have truly lost a precious woman. She had a smile when we needed it. There to talk when we wanted. She always had the right words and was there for all. I’m going to truly miss my aunt toast, things won’t be the same. They say God takes thw best, well he got more than that with my aunt toast. Aunt toast you will be missed, but never forgotten, I guess God and his angels are gettin my chocolate cake…;-) love you forever
