Maxine Mckee's Obituary
Maxine McKee, 71, of Fayette, passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be on Saturday August 1, 2015 at 2 PM at Faith Family Church in Fayette. The visitation will be held from 11AM - 2PM Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of HT May & Son Funeral Home in Fayette.
Mrs. McKee was born March 30th 1944 in Fayette, Mo, to Estelle Jones and Moses Gaw. In her early years she was employed at the former Phillips home, University Campus, and National Garment Factory. Maxine loved to go fishing, playing bingo, cards and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Fayette, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Leroy B. McKee on June 29, 1968.
Survivors include her husband Leroy of the home. Four daughters: Oneida Jones-Harris, Estelle McKee, and Belinda McKee all of Fayette, and Valerie Collins of Lee Summit. One son: Bradford McKee of Fayette. 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her son Anthony “Stumpy” Jones, great granddaughter Journey Rhakia Jones, Her parents Estelle Jones and Moses Gaw. 5 Aunts: Marybelle Cooper, Matilda Tindall, Melissa Graves, Vida Lee Jones, and Oneida Broadus.
