Maurice Harper's Obituary
Maurice Harper, 42, of Sedalia, MO., passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 1 pm at True Vine Church of God in Christ in Sedalia. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm at the church on Saturday.
Maurice Harper was born on September 18, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, to the proud parents of Johnny E. Rodgers and Jacqueline Harper, the latter whom preceded him in death.
Maurice was the second of four children: two sisters, Patricia Harper, Damonica Harper, and one brother Cecil Harper, who preceded him in death. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Holy David Missionary Baptist Church. Maurice attended Collins High School.
Maurice departed this life on April 15, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory: his father Johnny E. Rodgers, his loving daughters, Monica Davis, Angelya Murray, Maunika Harper, Shereese Harper, Paulina Nolton, Patricia Sistrunk, and Mauriah Harper; sons Maurice Harper Jr., Marquis Garrett, and Malik Sistrunk; special friend and lover Alicia Sistrunk; sisters Patricia and Damonica Harper; five granddaughters Tylia Murray, Taciah Murray, Kylah McFarland, Ti’Maya Peck, Ca’Millie Sanders, grandson Bryant McFarland; grandmother Ruth Harper, who preceded him in death, and Mammie Rodgers, and grandfathers, Jimmie Harper, who preceded him in death, and Jessie Rodgers.
